The Visits in Passing

這是一個關於日常累積的攝影計畫。拍攝對象始終如一 —— 公寓樓梯間一隅,鞋櫃、植物、雨衣、雜物,皆為無人注意之物。每當我經過發現變異時拍下一張照片,無涉美學判斷,也不試圖捕捉決定性瞬間。畫面內始終無人(但有時看得到我的影子),卻處處可見人的痕跡:盆栽的更換、植物的榮枯、雨衣的出現又消失……這些細微變化顯示生活在持續發生,即使我們未刻意注視。

照片之間的時間間隔,是此創作的核心。正是那些未被看見的時刻 —— 按下快門前與之後的日常流動 —— 構成觀看的空間,邀請觀者進行想像:誰曾經到訪?何時移動了那件物品?過客已離場,只留下不斷變動的陳列。

這不是一個關於事件的系列,而是對「無事」的持續凝視。一種不介入的觀看,讓平凡的時間顯露出其層次與重量,也邀請觀者在這些平凡的印記中,自由拼湊出屬於自己的「知曉」。

This is a photographic project built on quiet accumulation. The subject never changes: a corner of the apartment stairwell — a shoe rack, plants, raincoats, clutter. All things overlooked. Whenever I notice a small change, I take a photo. There is no aesthetic judgment, no search for the decisive moment. No one is ever present in the frame (though sometimes, my shadow appears), yet traces of human presence are everywhere: a new potted plant, leaves wilting, a raincoat vanishing.

The passage of time between each photo is the core of this work. It is the unseen moments — before and after the shutter clicks — that create a space for looking. It is the distance between fragments that invites the viewer to imagine: Who passed by? When was that object moved? The visitors are gone, leaving only this shifting arrangement.

This is not a series about events, but a quiet gaze upon non-events. A quiet way of looking that brings out the texture and gravity of everyday time — inviting viewers to piece together their own understanding from these subtle, easily overlooked traces.
